I went with the classic Abura Soba and added tamago and chili oil. Since Kajiken is known for its abura soba, I figured I'd start with the basics before exploring the rest of their menu. The noodles were definitely the highlight for me. Really good texture and quality. I wasn't too crazy about the toppings or the chashu, which felt standard overall, though it was a good bowl, and I appreciate that they offer so many topping options to customize it. I also tried the karaage, which was really good, and was pleasantly surprised to see they had yuzu beer, one of my favorites! Definitely a nice bonus to the meal. If I come back, I'm definitely trying the Sukiyaki Abura Soba. You can rarely go wrong with sweet, savory beef, in my opinion. The restaurant is also really convenient for solo dining. I walked in around 4 PM on a Saturday, but the line started getting pretty long shortly afterward, so I'd recommend making a reservation if available or arriving early. Where Kajiken really deserves credit is the service and atmosphere. The space looks great, the staff were attentive, and the overall dining experience was very pleasant. It's clearly a popular spot, and while the classic didn't completely blow me away, I enjoyed it enough to want to come back and explore more of the menu.
